Alex and Thomas White created some of the most perfectly crafted British indie of the decade but are rather sadly overlooked. 'Silent To The Dark' off their debut 2002 Holes In The Wall was the first song by the duo I heard and I subsequently followed them through second album The American Adventure up to their 2005 Human Body EP, around which time I saw them headline Truck Festival in Oxford. A brilliant performance that sadly marked the moment where they fell completely off my radar musically. The first half of the decade produced some fantastic indie in the UK from bands like Elbow, Doves, Coldplay and Badly Drawn Boy, all of whom have been remembered (but maybe not aged) very well, but The Electric Soft Parade truly deserve to be rediscovered.
