Clubroot put out a self-titled record last year that I dare say went a little unnoticed. The 2-step beats that underpin the record are reminiscent of a certain producer by the name of Burial, and since the hype around Untrue this particular style of dubstep seems to have been on the wane slightly. The similarities between Clubroot and Burial do not stem too far though, and there is in no way a kind of knock-off, derivative nature to the former in regard to the latter. As this track showcases, Clubroot can take the 2-step and sub-bass sound to staggering heights, and the record is smattered with stripped back, downtempo ambience as well as tracks, such as 'Talisman', where industrial sounding percussion meet grinding bass and samples and synths that sound like they're ripped from a trance track. Truly epic stuff.
