Before he released his (absolutely incredible) third album Heartland last month, Owen Pallett went under the name of Final Fantasy, and released the dubiously titled He Poos Clouds back in 2006 from which this track is taken. Here, Pallett relies simply on his violin and accompanying strings with the odd timpani drum hit rather than his often magnificently grandiose orchestrations. It's the yelping in the background that always gets me with this song in particular, and I can't believe he went on the better this album.
