I know this whole blog is built on the flimsy foundations of hyperbole (and why shouldn't it be), but its very rare to come across something so immediately brilliant as this track by Local Natives off their debut Gorilla Manor. It's been argued that the album doesn't live up to the heights of this single, which may be true if you just want a massive single from a band, but if you also want lovely, layered tracks like 'Who Knows Who Cares', expertly crafted Talking Heads covers like 'Warning Sign' and, er, more single-baiting brilliance like 'Sun Hands' and 'Camera Talk', with no filler in sight, this album is an absolute must. I'll post the live version they did for BBC Music as well because it's stupidly good.
