Amazingly, rather than getting all over-excited about packing my stuff up and making the inevitably much-longer-than-usual-thanks-to-the-snow journey to York tomorrow, what's really on my mind is the plethora of insane talent that I'll be seeing at Fabric tonight. From the sometime Daft Punk-collaborator Todd Edwards, to the heavy four-to-the-flour influenced dubstep of 2562, Tempa label-head Headhunter, new upstarts Joy Orbison and Untold, the line up goes beyond anything you could dream of really. Most importantly though, in the main room we get the off-kilter hip-hop stylings of both Rustie and (this is where this whole entry becomes relevant) Hudson Mohawke. HudMo in particular conjures up heavy bass sounds that simultaneously glisten with 80's synths on top of stripped down linear percussion. Just check it out below, whilst marveling at the sight of a man who must be the most unassuming DJ in the country.
